Virgin Islands Services is searching for a Construction Project Manager to help effectively manage a variety of ongoing projects on St. Thomas and St. John. Those who apply must currently live on STJ or STT and have a reliable method of transportation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receive emails and follow up with clients
- Meet with clients and collect info and photos to submit for estimates
- Manage subcontractors and cleaners (scheduling, supervision, documentation of hours, acquiring materials and supplies)
- Document completed projects
- Service calls/emergency calls
- Accounting (hours, expense reports. Could be hired out)
- Receive shipments (pay, deliver, or coordinate delivery)
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other workers on projects
- Establish timelines and complete projects on or before deadlines
- Choose subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities
- Determine labor and material costs
- Responsible for any delays, emergencies and problems that can arise
- Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
- Report project progress and budget to client and owner of company
- Explain contract and technical matter to others in a clear manner
- Prepare budget and cost estimates
